Ground Beef Taco Casserole recipe
When you want to please your family and surprise them with a great tasting dinner they will love, you will want to be sure to cook the ground beef taco casserole. It has a taste all its own that everyone in your family will agree that they enjoy. This is also the perfect dish to make if you are expecting to have a good amount of people over for dinner. You can double the recipe to account for more people. When you make this recipe you will want to make sure you keep the recipe handy, your dinner guests will probably want to get it from you before they leave.
Ingredients List:
1 ½ pounds of lean ground beef
1 tsp of chili powder
1 tsp of dried oregano leaf
½ cup of taco sauce
1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 dash of Tabasco sauce
½ tsp of salt
1 6 ounce bag of corn chips, lightly crumbled
1 medium sized chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1 pound of grated cheddar cheese
½ a head of lettuce, chopped
Directions:
You will want to make sure that you have a 3 quart casserole dish ready and that you preheat your oven to 350 degrees. You will want to brown the ground beef and then mix in the taco sauce, tomato sauce, oregano, garlic salt, chili powder, and Tabasco sauce. Now you are going to simmer it for about ten minutes. Now you will want to put half of the ground beef mixture into your 3 quart casserole dish. Top the mixture with half of the crumbled corn chips. Now you are going to add the rest of your ground beef mixture on top and cover it with the chopped onion, chopped lettuce, chopped tomato, and grated cheese. Then put the rest of the crumbled corn chips on the very top and put the dish in your oven to bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
You will be surprised at how great this casserole tastes, it has a wonderful flavor to it. You will soon see that your entire family will love it when you make this dish for dinner. The mixture of all of these ingredients creates a special meal that is mouth watering delicious and very filling.
