Salisbury Steak recipe

1 ½ pounds of ground beef
2 tbsp of grated onion
1 tsp salt
½ tsp of dried marjoram leaves, crushed
1/8 tsp of black ground pepper
1 envelope of mushroom gravy mix
1 3 to 4 ounce can of sliced and drained mushrooms

Directions:

You will want to take a large bowl and combine the ground beef, salt, grated onion, marjoram, and pepper. Make sure that you mix it well. Take the ground beef and divide it into six even portions. Now you are going to want to shape it into oval shaped patties that are about ¾ of an inch thick. Broil the Salisbury steaks 3 inches from the heat for about 3 to 4 minutes. Then you will turn them and broil the other side of the Salisbury steaks for about 4 minutes, or until they are as done as you desire. Now you will prepare the gravy mix as the package directs and stir in the mushrooms. Heat it thoroughly and pour the gravy over the Salisbury steak patties. You will want to serve them with some potatoes and biscuits.
